Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
A chopper flying over a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling wildly, finally descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Recordings posted on the internet capture the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then falling in the direction of the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palms and a staircase near the shoreline route.
First Aid Details
Emergency responders reported five people were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were injured. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
